Selecting the best senior care community for yourself or your loved one can feel frustrating or even overwhelming. After all, there are a lot of questions to think about: Are the living arrangements suitable for the future resident’s needs? What is the staff like? Are there any specialized support services offered?
At The Altenheim, we are familiar with these questions and strive to calm any worries you and your family members have about this transition in life. After all, The Altenheim is so much more than just a typical nursing home. With our personalized housing and care options, dedicated staff, amazing dining and support services, and plentiful resident activities, The Altenheim becomes a home and community for our residents to enjoy the golden years of their lives.
These are some of the amazing ways that The Altenheim stands out from other senior housing and senior care communities:
For many future residents and families looking for a senior housing community, one of the primary concerns is what the living arrangements will be like.
At The Altenheim, we don’t believe in a cookie cutter housing plan. That’s why we offer 5 different senior housing options, which allows a personalized living experience for each of our residents, as well as an easy transition as their needs grow and/or change.
These housing options include:
These personalized care and housing options also include additional support services to make our residents’ lives easier, including dining services, linen and housekeeping services, and personal laundry services.
Did you know that The Altenheim’s dining services provide both a seasonal menu, in addition to a year-round menu, for our residents to choose from? It’s important for our residents to choose what they’d prefer to eat and we’re happy to support that at The Altenheim.
Even more, The Altenheim has a dietician that reviews each resident’s intake for weight gain and loss so that recommendations can be made to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Another way that The Altenheim stands out from other senior care communities and nursing homes are our amazing support services.
In addition to linen and housekeeping services, as well as our personal laundry services, The Altenheim also offers:
Residents are also supported by our amazing staff. We have a dedicated team of registered nurses and licensed nurses on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The Altenheim looks forward to putting on social and activity programming for our residents each month, which is a great opportunity to strengthen our residents’ friendships and our senior care community.
Past activities have included everything from field trips to local venues, such as The Kentucky Center or the Louisville Mega Cavern, to activities held right here at The Altenheim, such as Zumba, cookouts, and music/dancing events. There’s something for everyone to enjoy!
Even better, these activities are based off residents’ interests, as our residents and director work together to plan monthly activities.
There are no application fees or move-in fees at The Altenheim. That’s how excited we are to have you here as a member of our senior care community!
Are cable TV and Wi-Fi included at The Altenheim?
